Invitation-only access
Nobody can create an account, or a workspace, on their own. Every arrival comes through a named invitation whose email is verified server-side, or through our support team. The refusal lives in the database rules — not in a hidden button.

Unauthorised reproduction, distribution or use of any part of the platform or its content is strictly prohibited without prior written permission.
When you create an account or contact us, we collect: full name, email address, organisation name, and your role within the platform. We do not collect payment information directly — billing is handled by Stripe.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the TRi-Lo platform, communicate with you about your account, and respond to support requests. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
All data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in certified data centres. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+. Offline data on your device is encrypted using AES-256-GCM. Access is protected by Firebase Authentication with role-based authorisation (admin / editor / viewer).
We rely on the following sub-processors to operate the service. Each is bound by data processing terms compatible with GDPR.
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — Authentication, Firestore database, file storage
- Netlify (Netlify, Inc.) — Web hosting and CDN
- Stripe (Stripe, Inc.) — Billing and payment processing
- ImprovMX (ImprovMX SAS) — Email forwarding for the trilosolutions.com domain
- Google reCAPTCHA (Google LLC) — Anti-abuse protection via Firebase App Check
Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. Upon a verified deletion request, personal data is removed within 30 days. Operational audit logs are retained for 12 months for security and compliance purposes.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) as per Article 46 of the GDPR.
In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of data subjects, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and affected users within 72 hours, in line with Article 33 of the GDPR.
You may exercise the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access (Art. 15) — obtain a copy of your personal data
- Rectification (Art. 16) — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure (Art. 17) — request deletion of your data
- Restriction (Art. 18) — limit processing of your data

All programme data, financial records, and documents entered into TRi-Lo by your organisation remain the exclusive property of your organisation. TRILO Development Consultants SUARL does not claim any ownership over your data.
You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with its intended use for programme management. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, distribute or resell any part of the platform.
We provide the platform on a best-effort availability basis. No contractual SLA is provided in the current version. Scheduled maintenance windows and known incidents are announced via an in-app banner.
We may suspend or terminate access in case of material breach of these Terms, abuse of the platform, or sustained non-payment. For non-breach termination initiated by us, you will receive at least 30 days' prior notice and the ability to export your data.
Material changes to these Terms will be notified to active users at least 30 days in advance, via email and an in-app banner. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
TRILO Development Consultants SUARL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind beyond those expressly stated.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to TRILO Development Consultants SUARL. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before referral to the competent courts.

It started with a conversation — and one man’s impossible schedule.

The man behind the idea
Daniel Schumann is a seasoned development consultant based in North Africa. For years he has managed complex, multi-million infrastructure programmes funded by international donors across Africa. He knows the field inside out — the terrain, the pressure, the accountability cycles, the donor expectations.
But knowing the field did not make the work easier. If anything, it made him more aware of just how broken the tools were.
After a full and demanding day in the field, Daniel would come home and continue working in his room — cross-referencing spreadsheets, chasing discrepancies, assembling donor reports by hand from a dozen disconnected files.
No time for a run. No time for himself. Just Excel files, copy-paste, and the weight of knowing the numbers still were not reconciled.
This was not an exception. This was the job — every week.
One conversation changed everything
One evening, Daniel mentioned something that had been on his mind for a long time: he had searched everywhere for a tool that could handle all of it — financial tracking, procurement, EVM, reporting, offline field operations — in one place. Built specifically for the realities of donor-funded programmes in developing countries. Not a generic project management app. Not another template. Something built for his world.
He could not find it. Nobody had built it.
That is when I — Walid Azar, a logistics and sales consultant who had developed a deep interest in AI and advanced prompting techniques — said: let’s build it.
Not as a developer. As someone who had learned to harness AI tools to architect and ship real, production-grade software — working alongside a network of IT professionals and students across North Africa and Europe who helped push TRi-Lo to the standard international programmes deserve.
Daniel was our first user. And our toughest critic.
When TRi-Lo was ready, Daniel did not just test it. He ran one of his active multi-million infrastructure programmes on it from day one. Every edge case, every missing feature, every friction point came from him using it under real conditions: real stakes, real deadlines, real donor accountability.
That is not a beta test. That is a guarantee.
Daniel’s problem is not unique. It is shared by everyone carrying the weight of complex, donor-funded programme management without the right tools.
What we actually set out to do
TRi-Lo is not a startup trying to disrupt development finance. It is a practitioner-built tool with one goal: give back time — to the consultants working nights, to the programme managers missing bedtime stories, to the field agents who deserve better than a broken connection and an outdated spreadsheet.
We are also here to make life easier for donors and oversight bodies — better data means faster decisions, cleaner audits, and programmes that actually deliver on their objectives.
